Industrial Gas Training Courses

welding-coursesOur Industrial Gases Safety Awareness Workshops are designed to meet the needs of users of cylinder gases in industrial environments. They give participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the handling, storage and use of ‘industrial’ gases. The workshops develop risk awareness through the identification of hazards found in everyday situations. Participants will learn about the gas safety issues relative to their specific roles, together with the steps required to maintain safe working conditions.

An understanding of hazards and the ability to assess risks within industry is vital in todays Health and Safety conscious workplace. These workshops help to develop these critical skills, as well as helping staff to improve their knowledge and awareness of the compressed gases used within their particular working environment.

It can form the foundation for two related practical workshops, or be run in isolation.

propaneNEW

LPG / Propane / Butane

A concise workshop designed for anyone who uses LPG (Propane / Butane) in an industrial environment. It is a similar to the Industrial Gases workshop, but adapted to focus on the properties, hazards and risks associated with Liquefied Petroleum Gases.

This workshop can form the foundation for an associated practical workshop, or be run in isolation.

Hot-Work

Hot Work

This training workshop is designed to deliver all the essential safety information that personnal who undertake hot work, or are responsible for issuing Hot Work Permits, require.

It contains both theory and practical elements.

Oxy-fuel-set-upNEW

Oxy-fuel Gas Systems Set-up & Pre-use Check Practical

This workshop gives participants the opportunity to further their learning by practising the safe set-up, leak test and shut-down of an oxy-fuel gas system in a practical environment.

It can only be attended by delegates who have completed Safety Awareness Training; it cannot be run in isolation.

Oxy-fuel-Inspection

Oxy-fuel Gas Systems Maintenance Inspection Practical

This workshop gives participants the opportunity to further their learning by practising the safe set-up, leak test and shut-down of an oxy-fuel gas system in a practical environment. They will also learn how to conduct formal inspections of oxy-fuel gas equipment in accordance with the requirements of British Compressed Gases Association Code of Practice 7 (BCGA CP7)

This workshop can only be attended by delegates who have completed Safety Awareness Training; it cannot be run in isolation.

Safe Manual Handling of Gas Cylinders

Many staff do not use compressed gases themselves, but have responsibilites for their storage and movement around site. They should therefore appreciate the hazards of the cylinders they are dealing with and know how to move them in a safe manner.

This workshop contains both theory and practical elements and provides all the essential safety information that staff require to ensure that cylinders are dealt with safely.
