Medical Gases

This 3½ hour workshop gives participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the handling, storage, use and transportation of gases within a healthcare environment. It is designed for staff who need a more in-depth knowledge of medical gases and who are responsible for gas cylinder equipment and manifold systems. Typically this will be Estates, Porters, Facilities and Engineering personnel, but it is also appropriate for Managers who have a responsibility for Health & Safety.

Medical Gases for Clinical & Support Services

This 2 hour workshop is an abridged version of the full 3½ hour workshop shown above. It is designed for staff who are involved in the use, handling, storage and administration of medical gases, but who do not have responsibilities relating to gas manifold systems. Typically, this may be Clinical, Nursing and Midwifery, Portering, Facilities and Ambulance staff. The workshop gives participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the medical gases.
